Descending tracts for flexor and extensor muscles


When ViP members enter we should STANDUP(Extensors)
Here in ViP stands for vestibulospinal tract and P stands for Ponto reticular tract.

Sit(Flexors) on Rubber Mat 
R denotes Rubrospinal tract and M  denotes Medullary reticular tract

HAND MUSCLES that are supplied by MEDIAN NERVE


All the intrinsic muscles of the hand are supplied by the ulnar nerve, except the LOAF muscles, which are median nerve.

Now I will NEVER forget!

LOAF muscles:

Lumbricals 1&2
Opponens pollicis
Abducens pollicis 
Flexor policis brevis 

This is clinically relevant in carpal tunnel syndrome. They make up the thenar eminence, the bulgy bit on your palm below your thumb, and can appear wasted in chronic median nerve palsy.

MNEMONIC FOR JVP

' a ' wave is produced by atrial contraction. ( a=atrium)
'C' wave is produced by tricuspid jerk . ( c= cuspid)
'x' wave is due to atrial relaxation . ( x= relax)
