HAND MUSCLES that are supplied by MEDIAN NERVE


All the intrinsic muscles of the hand are supplied by the ulnar nerve, except the LOAF muscles, which are median nerve.

Now I will NEVER forget!

LOAF muscles:

Lumbricals 1&2
Opponens pollicis
Abducens pollicis 
Flexor policis brevis 

This is clinically relevant in carpal tunnel syndrome. They make up the thenar eminence, the bulgy bit on your palm below your thumb, and can appear wasted in chronic median nerve palsy.
